Kirigami Architecture

Origamic Architecture sculptures range from (the relatively simple) geometric patterns to famous buildings’ facades. It’s like 3-D pop-up greeting cards, but much, much more complex. While looking at the examples below, keep this in mind: everything’s done with the simple cuts of the knife.

How to Make a Flower

Things you need:

1. A piece of A4 paper
2. Scissor

Steps:

1. Prepare a blank sheet of paper

2. Fold the paper based on the doted line

3. Fold the paper and cut the shaded part. The part that have been cut should be put aside to be use later.

4. This how your paper should be look alike at this stage

5. Fold the paper based on the doted line

6. Flip the paper over and do the same thing like no.5

7. Next, open middle of the paper and it should looks like the above picture

8. Fold the paper like in the picture for both sides

9. It should looks like the above picture

10. Fold it together and make sure there is no line in the middle of it

11. Fold the paper together for both sides

12. It should looks like this

13. From the below point of view, you should see a hole and blow in the hole to make the paper puffed. It should looks like in the above picture

14. On front view, you need to open the pieces of the paper and fold it like in the picture

15. Finally, WALLA!!!
